The topics of this intensive 4 day search engine optimization training program are meant to give you a thorough overview of SEO and how to make the most out of it for your business.

Here are the details of each day:

 

Day 1: Key Phrase Research

 

Key phrase research is the foundation of every good search engine marketing program. Get your key phrase research wrong and everything else you do is wrong.

 

In this full day class you will learn:

  • The top key phrase research tools to get the best data.
  • How to make sense of the data across multiple tools.
  • What makes a good phrase versus a bad phrase.
  • How to come up with a final key phrase strategy.

 

We will be using example key phrase research during the class. As time permits, we will also be looking at student key phrase needs.

 

Day 2: On-Page Search Engine Optimization

 

Understanding how to make your site’s code and content search engine friendly is absolutely necessary if you want to do will in Google, Yahoo and Bing.

This full day class will cover topics such as:

  • What the search engines are looking for.
  • How to use targeted key phrases within body content and important sections of a Web page.
  • Making a wireframe for mapping out a systematic plan.
  • How to measure search engine optimization growth.
  • Using redirects correctly.
  • Moving your site to a new host.
  • Moving your site to completely new architecture.
  • Using Google Webmaster Tools for maximum effectiveness.

Day 3: Link Building

According to the SEOmoz Search Engine Ranking Factors study, 4 of the 5 most important search engine optimization aspects have to do with Link Building.

Sage is a nationally renowned expert in the world of link building. He has been the link building expert at Search Engine Watch as well as the creator of the Link Building Mastermind online course. Sage is also coming out with the Link Building Mastermind book.

This class will give you a thorough understanding of what makes a good link building campaign and also what makes for a bad link building campaign.

Doing link building wrong can significantly hurt you in the search engines.

In this class you will learn:

  • What makes a good link.
  • How to get people to want to link to you.
  • The different kinds of links that are available to you.
  • What nofollow link are, how to identify them and what they mean to your link building campaign.
  • How to measure, track and manage your links.

Day 4: Making the Most of Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a free tool that is utilized by companies of all sizes in all industries. The data, however, can be overwhelming and confusing. This class will give you a solid overview of Google Analytics and how to make the most of it.

In this class you will learn:

  • How to setup Google Analytics on your site.
  • What the terminology is and what it means to you.
  • How to setup goals and funnels.
  • What is segmentation and why it’s so important.
  • How to create customized reports for specific people within your organization.
  • What data is important to you.
  • How to use the data to take immediate action.
